IELTS Speaking 6
English Speaking Tip
One of the things that the examiner will pay attention to in all three parts of the IELTS Speaking module is the flow of your speech. Speech which flows quite smoothly and quickly, without a lot of pauses, is called fluent speech.
It can be difficult to be accurate and fluent at the same time. If you try too hard to speak correctly, your fluency will probably decrease.
In the Speaking module it is better to focus on fluency rather than accuracy. Even when you make mistakes in your grammar or vocabulary, the examiner will probably understand what you are trying to say. But if you say too little, because you are trying hard to avoid mistakes, it may be difficult to understand you. Also, you cannot earn marks unless you give evidence of your speaking ability.
